Inquiries being sent via e-mail should have the type of animal (s) in the subject line. Thank You.
Waiting lists are available if you are interested in a certain animal (s). To be placed on a waiting list you will need to send us an email with the type of animal and its name in the subject line (ex. Chuckwalla/Carrot-tail), include in the e-mail your full name, e-mail, phone number, number of that species desired, and any other information that could be relevant. We will reply to let you know that you have indeed been placed on the waiting list and give you an estimate of when they might be available. If you don’t hear back within 5 days of your e-mail being sent, and we are not on vacation, we probably did not receive your e-mail. No deposit is required unless we have some of that species on the ‘expected offspring’ list in which case a 25% deposit will be needed to ensure your place on the list.
Expected offspring lists will have animals that will be available within 1-2 months. A deposit of 25% will hold your place on that list until 1 week before that reptile becomes available at which time payment in full is required.
Prices are subject to change without notice. Please call or e-mail for our most current pricing. (With the exception of animals that we have already received a deposit for.)
Deposits are 25% of the total price of the animal (s) selected. This 25% deposit will secure you that individual animal (s) or will hold you place on a waiting list of ‘expected offspring’. (Not all animals produced here at Innovative Ectotherms are available for pre-sale deposits.) If your deposit is for a future offspring the deposit is non-refundable if the reptile you ordered is produced. If the deposit is for a reptile currently in stock we will hold that particular animal (s) for a prearranged period of time and ship when payment is received in full (including shipping costs); the deposit is non-refundable.
Payment in full is required before any animal (s) will be shipped. If you had placed an earlier deposit on an ‘expected offspring’ payment is due in full 1 week before available date unless previously agreed upon. At this time we accept the following payment options: cashiers checks, money orders, or cash if you will be picking up your order. We are in the process of accepting Visa/Master card, but currently do not. Paypal is not accepted. Before sending money, e-mail for availability verification. Please make all checks payable to Nick or Austin Dokai, thank you.
All Colorado resident’s, please add 8.06% sales tax to the reptile (s) ordered.
Payment plans are available (short term) for individuals who place a 25% deposit. A receipt of this deposit will be sent to you either via e-mail or postal mail for your records. E-mail or call for arrangements.
Cancellations have no refund if we produce your order in the same year of your order.
Box Charge – We us new insulated boxes with every order. Heat packs or cold packs are used as needed due to weather. A $10.50 fee will be assessed to orders under $1,000.00.
Shipping is done through UPS Express. Cost will vary depending upon box size, weight and arrival location. In order for us to guarantee live arrival, someone must be home to sign for the shipment. But we are not liable for currier mishaps that result in damage or loss of your order. If there is a problem with an animal that you have received from us please contact us directly by phone. Reptiles will only be shipped as weather permits. During temperature extremes we will gladly care for your reptile (s) until shipping is possible. Shipping is generally done on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
Local Pick up – Unfortunately, due to increasing security concerns in the reptile hobby, we will not be allowing local pickup from our location. If you are local or are coming into Colorado and would like to pick up your order we can arrange to meet you in Denver or at DIA just ask.
If there are any problems with the animal (s) received you must notify us immediately. Any concerns must be expressed within 2 hours of their arrival. Dead animals should be photographed and frozen for proof of death. There are no specific guarantees on any of our animals other than live arrival, that at time of shipment they are healthy, of the correct type, and sexed properly unless otherwise stated. If you are noticing anything unusual about the animal (s) inform us via phone and/or e-mail; keep us frequently updated if you are noticing any further problems so we can address the situation promptly.
